Injured rugby player in stable condition

National Rugby player Abioce Heywood, who suffered a head injured during the Rugby Americas North (RAN) Sevens championships over the weekend in Mexico is said to be in a stable condition.

Heywood had received a tough blow on Sunday and collapsed on the field where was rushed to medical institution where she is still being treated currently and based on report the Guyana Defence Force Officer is recovering.
It is understood that a female physiotherapist of the Guyana Defence Force (GDF), who travelled with the squad will remain in Mexico and accompany Heywood on return to Guyana.
