Inter-County Super 50 Cup final set for Nov 1 in Essequibo

Captain of Demerara, Tevin Imlach

The Queensway GCB Inter-County Super 50 Cup final between Demerara and Essequibo is set for Saturday, November 1, 2025, at the Joe Jagmohan Ground, Hampton Court, Essequibo Coast, Region Two.
The final, which was scheduled for today, has been pushed back following consultations with tournament sponsor Queensway Security Inc. A reason for the change has not been released to the media.
However, the GCB noted that the additional time will allow both sides to prepare for the much-anticipated clash. Earlier in the tournament, the two teams met, with Demerara defeating Essequibo by 50 runs – a solid margin.

As such, Essequibo will be looking for revenge on home soil, while Demerara aims to remain unbeaten and retain their championship.
The GCB is encouraging cricket enthusiasts across the region to come out and witness some of Guyana’s top talent on display in the final. The first ball is expected to be bowled at 09:00h, and admission is free.
