Dear Editor,
I read the GuySuCo advertisement appearing in the July 10, 2022 newspapers, wherein the company spoke about its need to purchase articulated tractors.
I was around when GuySuCo used Cameco tractors. I remember we used to describe time as lazy and thirsty. They hardly worked, and used a lot of fuel.
As a concerned observer, I shall be grateful if GuySuCo could answer the following questions:
1: Is it true that Game tractor company has not made a profit in the last three years?
2: Is it also true that the Game tractors are used for haulage, and not tillage?
3: Also, isn’t it true that, since the late 1990s, the GuySuCo Board and Management banned the use of articulated tractors for tillage?
Editor, I was around the sugar industry in those times. I remember we had many renowned engineers and personnel who studied this matter. I have to wonder why we are going back to a failed past? Is there more to this matter than what meets the eye?
Yours sincerely
Dharmendra
