GSCL/Prime Minister’s T20 Cup…

Industrial Supply of Guyana Inc. (ISG) has given the inaugural Prime Minister’s T20 Softball Cup a major boost when they inked a handsome sponsorship deal. The highly anticipated which is organized by the Georgetown Softball Cricket League Inc. will bowl off on October 27 in Georgetown.
The tournament is being held in collaboration with the National Sports Commission and the Ministry of Social Cohesion through the Department of Culture, Youth and Sport will conclude on October 29 and will be played in two categories; Male Over-45 and Male Open.

At the sponsorship ceremony which took place at ISG’s Robb and Albert Streets branch, Manager of ISG, Thelisha Case made the presentation to treasurer of GSCL Inc Russel Jadbeer. Case was elated in saying that her company is happy to be part of such a prestigious event and wished the teams well. In response, Jadbeer expressed the GSCL’s profound appreciation for the generosity of Case and ISG.
Jadbeer further stated that cricket fans will witness a new dispensation of softball cricket with a number of teams both locally and overseas battling for supremacy. The three-day event will end in spectacular fashion with cheer leaders providing added entertainment for the final.
Toronto Cup Masters Softball cricket tournament 2017 winners SVC Mafia and New York Hustlers, along with New York President’s X1 and Tri-State Masters are among the overseas teams that have confirmed their participation to date.
Entrance to the mega tournament is free and teams registering for the Over-45 category must submit photo identification, preferably valid passports for every member of their 15-man squad. The winning team in the Open category will take home a trophy and $600,000 while the runner up will get a trophy and $100,000. The most valuable player will ride away with a brand new Heron Motor cycle.
In the Over-45 category, the champions will be $500,000 and will also get a trophy while the losing finalist will walk away with $100,000. The Most Valuable Player will relax with a 50” television set compliments of Regal Stationery and Computer Centre.
