ITF Coach Bill Adams to conduct training for juniors

International Tennis Federation expert Bill Adams will pay a visit to the Guyana Lawn Tennis Association (GLTA) with intentions to assist in training junior players and the wider community of tennis players.

Adams is a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certified teaching professional and a United States Tennis Association (USTA) high-performance coach, who since 1980 has directed the operations of tennis facilities and tennis programmes in Germany and Italy, besides Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Florida. He is also Director of the Bill Adams Tennis Academy.
Guyanese by birth, Adams coached tennis champion Naomi Osaka in her early years, and has trained coaches in Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela, Italy and Germany.
He was also very instrumental in awarding scholarships to Guyanese student athletes such as Duane Lewis, who went on to become head coach at his university, and Nicola Ramdyhan, who is currently overseas fulfilling her scholarship.
