Ituni labourer jailed for narco-trafficking

Thirty-one-year-old Mark Rodney, a labourer of Ituni backlands, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice), was on Tuesday sentenced to three months’ imprisonment by Magistrate Wanda Fortune, after pleading guilty to a charge of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
Rodney, who appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court where the sentence was handed down, was arrested by ranks on patrol duty at Ituni, on February 12 with 29 grams of cannabis sativa in his possession. (G13)
