Jagdeo concludes hectic three-day outreach to Essequibo Coast

Opposition Leader Bharrat Jagdeo, General Secretary of the People’s Progressive Party (PPP), yesterday concluded a very hectic but successful three-day outreach to the Essequibo Coast (Region Two), where he met with hundreds of residents in several communities and listened to their concerns.
During the outreach, Jagdeo went to several areas, including Aurora, Middlesex, Adventure, Onderneeming, Johanna Cecilia, Golden Fleece, Reliance, Lima and Charity. He was accompanied by Party Central Committee members Drs Frank Anthony and Vindhya Persaud, and Anand Persaud; and Members of Parliament (MPs) Yvonne Pearson and Cornel Damon, the Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) Representative.
On Sunday, the Opposition Leader held a special meeting with businessmen, farmers and market vendors, among other persons.
Before returning to Georgetown on Monday, the Opposition Leader met with scores of residents and vendors at the Charity market, among whom were speedboat operators and hire car drivers, among other persons.
