Jagdeo, Sadhguru discuss Guyana’s climate mitigation plan, Save Soil Movement

Vice President Bharrat Jagdeo and world-famous yoga guru and spiritual master Jagadish Vasudev, better known as ‘Sadhguru’, on Saturday discussed Guyana’s expanded Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS) and climate mitigation plan, along with the Save Soil Movement.
Discussions also centred around Guyana poising to lead the Net Zero by 2050 Agenda through its robust plans for energy security and renewable generation, while continuously recording increased economic prosperity.
Save Soil’ is a global movement launched by Sadhguru to address the soil crisis by bringing together people from around the world to stand up for soil health, and supporting leaders of all nations to institute national policies and actions toward increasing the organic content in cultivable soil.
Supporting partners include the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, UN Environment Programme – Faith for Earth, World Food Programme, Partnerships For Change, International Union for Conservation of Nature, and Global Citizen Forum.
