Jamzone returns to Guyana this weekend at the Marriott Beach Front with two power-packed events that will definitely be off the hook. On Friday, the Hits and Jams Entertainment will be hosting the first ever J’Ouvert aback the Marriott Hotel.
This time around, the J’Ouvert will be done in three sections: wet, glow paint and dry. The wet J’Ouvert will be all “stink and dutty” while for the first time, luminous paints (glow paint) will be used. Those who want to remain dry; there will be a special section with no water or paint.
There will be no live performances but there will be lots of versatile deejays who will make sure those present have a grand evening. These include Selector Diamond, Deejay Energy and Gully Ras out of Fusion Sound and Deejay Akelo out of Stereo Sonics.
Advance tickets for the Beach J’Ouvert cost $2000 but at the gates, patrons will pay $3000. Tickets will be available at the regular ticketing locations.
The second event will be the Beach Fun Day slated for Sunday, July 19 at the same venue. Over $500,000 in cash is set aside as prize monies. On this day, the entertainment group will organise several exciting games where persons can will lots of cash.
The event gets underway in the morning with the games, but as night falls, “Stitchy One Man Band” will take over the entertainment. In addition, Fusion Sounds, Notorious Sound and Stereo Sonic will add to the vibes.
