Dear Editor,
Permit me the space to air my views on the recent jiggery pokery, yes, it is what it is.
“Director General of the Ministry of the Presidency, Joseph Harmon defended Government’s hiring of the lobbying firm on the grounds that the administration has a duty to defend the Government and Guyana.” Gov’t warns US that PPP poses geopolitical, economic risks to South America. April 16, 2020 – headlines in sections of the local media.
This is a nightmare. This is a perfect example of the term “clutching at straws”. Unfortunately, this is dejà vu. If you’ve never read the declassified files on Guyana’s history, then this is the time to do so.
We have made a mistake, more so, I made a mistake when I placed this current defacto Government into power in 2015. I greatly regret it and it’s a mistake I’ll never make again and I will make sure my future generations are well educated on the atrocities of this rotten cabal.
You have stooped so low within that hole you have dug for yourself. This nation just sees you as a bunch of tyrants, thugs, oppressors, incompetent, dictatorial misfits! The scorn of this society and the parasites that will suck this nation dry with no shame. You call yourselves leaders? You are blind, you are pigheaded, stubborn and lack basic morals and ethical principles. Church? For those Christians that see these wolf in sheep’s clothing, your anti-Christ must be near.
Every single sentence of that disgraceful, Machiavellian document is a spit in the face of this nation and her democracy. Your chronologic account of the election events are erroneous and you were doltish enough to include images of Form 24 with Volda Lawrence’s signature twice on pages 95 and 127 respectively and brainlessly states that your leader, DA Granger is a United States Citizen on page 135.
The dossier of Guyana Elections 2020 has exposed your weakness and your power-drunk ways. At least your forgotten PNCR leader, LFS Burnham was approached by the USA back in 1966-67. Now look at yourselves, look at your foolish ways; running towards in the name of Guyana, defender of the Government and Guyana my two cheeks. Do you think they will bat an eye at you and your cabal after you have publically asked that leading nation to “stay out of our business, we can handle things ourselves!” Who poses more of a geopolitical threat to this nation when such statements are blurted out of prominent PNCR loyalist?
This rogue cabal is a pack of saps; they will be the ones to cause a geopolitical crisis with their undiplomatic ways and orientation. Soup drinkers with questionable intentions are never to be trusted. I see right through you and your insignificance rushes out. I pray that this nation, her people and more so the USA can see through this attempt to further hold 700,000 persons at hostage. I am sure the right thing will be done (permit me to allude to a garbage bin and fire with personalised sanctions to follow).
Two days later.
Mr President issues a statement stating, in summary, that he was not aware of the submissions, it was not done on behalf of Guyana or Government (although the document said so) and that the country did not pay for it. I have this to say.
Mr President has basically withdrawn himself from the atrocities of his right-hand man, Mr Joseph Harmon. Is this genuine or is this his way of saving himself? I think that it’s a way to save himself.
HE President David A Granger, your Administration is compounding or adding to the dilemma we are in. What do you have to say for yourself? Why isn’t there any press conference with you?
Do you know that your current portfolio is one where you single-handedly spearhead this entire crisis of COVID? Yet you hide or self-isolate and show off the impotence of your leadership?
I am not surprised, I just remembered there are no flights out to Cuba and more so, you cannot use 21st-century technology.
My Guyanese brothers and sisters, it’s about time we lead ourselves or have legitimacy; It’s about time we stand up. Let us not waste time as their weak link has shown itself again for the third time. We will remain a democratic state and not a failed state like those perfect examples, too numerous to mention. My people are not about that life and my generation is here to make that difference we want to see. Let’s do right by our conscience and most importantly, let’s #keepmovingforward.
God bless Guyana.
Respectfully,
Dr Josh Kanhai
