Job Caesar grateful for exposure in Golden Jaguars camp
At the age of 17, Job Caesar was named the most valuable player at this year’s Digicel’s School’s Football Championship after his school; Chase Academic Foundation won the title. Now he is elevated to training with the country’s senior football team, the Golden Jaguars and he says it is very excellent thus far.
“It feels very excellent, coming and getting experience training with the national senior team I have learned much more regarding executing and my technique in the mid field; knocking the ball better and playing in different positions.” Caesar disclosed.
The Santos Football Club player, who played with the national under-17 team in 2014, explained that senior players in the team are quite welcoming and giving thoughtful advice.
“The senior guys are showing me more by directing me to do the right thing, in terms of passing the ball and showing the correct position I’m supposed to be in”.
Meanwhile, Assistant head coach of the Jaguars, Wayne Dover is in firm belief of incorporating the players at young into the senior team set up.
Dover explained, “we all know that these youngsters are talented so we need to start looking at the transition into the senior camp so they can get early understanding as to what it entails to be a senior national player and put out certain works; we have seen a lot of good things for the future”.
Ryan Hackett, Kelsey Benjamin, Jeremy Garrett, Curtez Kellman are some other young footballers who are a part of the preparatory camp for the Jaguars upcoming Caribbean Men’s cup matches against Suriname and Jamaica on October 8 and 11 respectively.
