The Lethem Town Council, on Monday, held its internal elections for the post of Mayor and Deputy Mayor.
Incumbent Mayor John Macedo and his Deputy Debra King were re-elected.
Town Clerk Keisha Vincent conducted the election process in accordance with the Municipal and District Act (23:01). Macedo secured 7 out of the 10 votes while King received 6.
Five councillors were appointed to serve on the Council’s Finance Committee. Indira Singh (Chairperson), Fitzgerald Singh (Vice-Chairman) while the other members are Debra King, Jason Wilson and Youlanda Moffett.
