CWI/ Digicel Regional 4-Day Tournament 2016-17

‒ uncapped Adams included

Essequibo’s Left arm orthodox spinner Antony Adams earned his maiden First Class call up for the three time champions Guyana Jaguars in their final match of the third edition of the Franchise League Four Day Tournament against Leeward Island Hurricanes starting this Friday at Providence.
After years of consistent performances as he baffled batsmen with spin, variation and accuracy, Adams, has been rewarded with a selection in the Jaguars squad.

Anthony Adams

He is the second player from Essequibo to elevate to the senior team in the last two months, following Keemo Paul, who made his debut against Trinidad and Tobago Red Force recently. The former national youth player, who plays for city team Georgetown Cricket Club is among three spinners named in the squad.
Pacer Keon Joseph and all-rounder Raymon Reifer are making their return to the squad after representing the West Indies Cricket Board’s President’s XI against the touring Pakistan team in a three day match in Jamaica.
Omitted from the last match against the Windwards Volcanoes which the Jaguars won inside three days are, Sherfane Rutherford, Clinton Pestano and Romario Shepherd.
Jaguars have already been declared champions after amassing an unassailable points lead in the 10-round league, however, this match is expected to be an interested one because the Hurricanes are the only team that defeated the Jaguars this season.
