“J’Ouvert Morning Wet Fete and Soca Party” for Saturday at Buxton
All roads will lead to the Buxton Community Centre Ground, on the East Coast of Demerara (ECD), on Saturday evening for the first ever “J’Ouvert Morning Wet Fete and Soca Party”. Taking on a carnival-like twist, patrons are bound to have a blast as they revel into Sunday morning for the 5th annual Mash Tramp.
Colours, water and music will be in galore as the organisers plan the most anticipated event on the ECD. On Saturday evening, the vibes will commence with several top deejays, including Gully Ras, Deejay Akelo, Selector Face, Seen Up and Deejay Energy. With the talented line-up, they are bound to set the tone for the evening with the latest soca music booming through the speakers of the music systems.
But the vibes will get even better when Jumo “Rubber Waist” Primo and Super Ray One Man Band take to the stage. Primo, who is known for his energetic performances, will leave no stone unturned and will deliver to please his audience. Also known for this versatility, Super Ray will conquer on that evening with his new tracks.
This will pave the way for the 5th annual Buxton/Foulis Mash and Soca Bacchanal on Sunday when the vibes continue. Four top sounds; two-one man bands and other live performances are expected to keep the energy going into Sunday evening.
The events are promoted by Father Moey and Devine Starz in collaboration with the Region Four Regional Democratic Council. Music, lighting and stage will be provided by Crown Vibes Entertainment.
