Horse racing has attracted some new names in Guyana, and the biggest is J’s Racing Stables.
The New Amsterdam-based owners started racing in Guyana with a bang, recording nine first-place finishes and four second spots.
The latest win this year for J’s came at the Showdown of Champions in the E Class and Lower Open to imported three-year-old horses.

Order and Progress is the name of the horse that scripted the victory at Port Mourant last Sunday. According to owner Jermaine Sripal, Order and Progress is a great horse, and with age under his belt, he will deliver more top performances.
“Order and Progress is a great horse. He is just three years old, and we have a lot more to get out of him.”
“It’s a lot of hard work and teamwork. I have a good team, good trainer, good manager, good grooms. It’s everybody working together to achieve this goal,” Sripal said. “We have about nine wins this year and four second spots. We are coasting.”
“It’s a learning experience, and every day I learn something new with horses. We are going to keep learning and get better every day,” Sripal explained.
With one more race remaining for the year 2025, J’s Racing Stables is poised for another pole position on Boxing Day at Kennard’s Memorial Turf Club.
