Kairuni woman slapped with attempted murder charge

Twenty-eight-year-old Shenell Ghanie, a domestic worker of Kairuni, Linden Highway, was on Friday remanded to prison on an attempted murder charge.
While the Police did not provide any information relating to the charge, a release to the press stated that the incident was committed on a male last Monday at Kairuni Village, Linden/Soesdyke Highway.
Ghanie appeared at the Friendship Magistrate’s Court before Magistrate Tameika Clarke and was not required to plead to the indictable charge. She was remanded to prison until August 4, 2026.
