A Kamarang, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) resident appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts before Magistrate Judy Latchman on a charge of murder.
The charge against Presley Abrahams stated that between November 1 and 2, he murdered Dexter Edwards at Kamarang village.
Attorney-at-Law Glen Hanoman, who represented the defendant, told the court that his client signed a caution statement, but Police edited the statement unbeknownst to his client.
Abrahams was remanded to prison. The case will continue on November 25 before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
