A 41-year-old male was arrested on Friday after he was found with 229 grams of cannabis during a Police operation at Kaneville, East Bank Demerara (EBD).
The Police have said that, acting on information received, a search was conducted at the home of the suspect, during which a black plastic bag was found in a wardrobe in one of the bedrooms. Upon inspection of that bag, several small and medium-sized Ziplock bags containing ganja were found.
The suspect was immediately told of the offence committed before being cautioned and arrested. The confiscated cannabis, when weighed, amounted to 229 grams.
