Karibee Rice Mega Sprint Classic horse race meet set for today

Commencing at 12:00 noon today, the Sky Plus Incorporated Promotion Group Horse Race Meet will set the Number 36 Village, Macedonia Estate, Corentyne track ablaze. Contrary to plans previously published, there has been one change made to the day’s activities.
More than 40 entries have been confirmed for the card which will feature seven races and over $4 million in cash, trophies and other incentives will be up for grabs. With many calling for a change, the organisers have decided to replace the H Class event with the Cow Horses race. Headlining the meet will be the event for 3-year-old animals which will cover over 880 yards with $200,000 up for the taking. In the classified L Class Colts and Geldings, horses will compete for the $100,000 top prize; while in the L Mares and Fillies, rivals thrash it out for the first prize of $100,000. The event will also feature the L Class non-Earners competing for $100,000, while the K Class and Lower will walk away with $140,000. The other events will see animal in the J Class and lower competing for $180,000 and the newly added Cow Horse where wild horses will compete for $40,000. Champion jockey, trainer and stable are the individual prizes up to be won.
Some of the horses competing in today’s event are Massapequea Dr, Miss Anjali, Red Region, Plane Land, Awesome Banner, Perfection, Humming Bird, Damage Control, Awesome Banner, Perfect Return, Irish Boy and more as the all compete in their respective categories.
