“Keep Your Five Alive” action continues tonight

As the electrifying action in the GT Beer “Keep Your Five Alive” Indoor Knockout Futsal Competition continues tonight, reigning champs West Front Road-Gold is Money will begin their quest to retain the crown in a highly-anticipated match-up.
Aside from that, four other matches will feature some of Guyana’s best futsal teams at the National Gymnasium.

Part of the action in this year’s GT Beer “Keep Your Five Alive” competition

In the opening clash of the night, Albouystown will come up against Upsetters, before Future Stars get a chance to clash with Alpha Warriors. Later in the evening, Kitty Hustlers will face off with Back Circle, and later Bent Street will go up against Linden’s Dave & Celena All Stars.
In the final clash of the night, Alexander Village will have their hands full with the reigning champions West Front Road-Gold is Money.
The five winners of tonight’s encounters will join Tiger Bay, Silver Bullets, Showstoppers, North East La Penitence, Ol’ Skool Ballers, Sparta Boss, Rhythm Stars, Agricola, Swag Entertainment, Sophia and Leopold Street as they advance to the round of 16, which is scheduled to be hosted at the same venue on Saturday.
According to promoter Kevin Adonis, close to $800,000 in prize monies and trophies will be up for grabs and only the winners on each day of competition will progress to the next phase.
Adonis, who conceptualised the tournament six years ago, said the whole idea of “Keep Your Five Alive” is that teams have to keep winning to keep their five players on the court. “That is the only way of keeping your five alive,” Adonis stated.
