After one month of intense rivalry among six teams, the Hero Caribbean Premier League will culminate on Sunday with live performances by Trinidad’s Soca sensation Kes de Band.
The Soca band, which is known for several of the Caribbean’s best Soca hits, will perform during the half-time break and at the after party at the Warner’s Park Stadium, St Kitts, after the final match of the competition.
Cricket fans can expect an explosive performance since Kes, the lead singer, is one of the artistes on the CPL’s theme song. The band will also dish out several other hits such as its signature tune – “Wotless”.
Meanwhile, the party atmosphere in Guyana will be spectacular as the Guyana Amazon Warriors led by Rayad Emrit have secured a place in the finals after they crushed the Jamaica Tallawahs on Wednesday evening.
With Guyana through to the final, the pressure is now on the St Lucia Zouks, the Trinbago Knight Riders and the Jamaica Tallawahs for one side to go through to the big clash on Sunday.
This is the third final for Guyana since the commencement of the CPL tournament four years ago, and from all indications and with all optimism, the Amazon Warriors are hoping to bring this one home.
Let the party begin since it is the biggest one in sport with the best Soca band in the Caribbean.
