Guyanese Motor Biker Kevin Persaud commendable performances at this year’s Caribbean Motor Racing Championship (CMRC) has gained the attention of Australian company AT1pro who manufactures custom made Professional Racing Suits.
According to the elated Persaud, the partnership will significantly aid his 2018 CMRC Super Stock title endeavours and it came to fruition after impressing the company’s Managing Director Dominic De Leon, who is also a motor biker that raced at the South Dakota circuit in 2014.

“He was impressed by my performance of which I won two CMRC races that day. I raced with him again in Trinidad last year and we always kept in touch. He would always advise me on race techniques and skills.”
Persaud added, “he messaged me last month congratulating me on my championship win and offered me some sponsorship towards 2018 and 2019 and I immediately said yes. Essentially, I will be getting discounts on all of the products that they make and suits and gloves for that two-year period.”
For the 18 year-old, the new found agreement will significantly aid his development and quest to dethrone Team Mohamed’s Enterprise Byrce Prince for the title.
“This is a surplus for me and a great achievement to have an international company from Australia coming on board to support my program. It helps since defeating Bryce Prince will cost lots of practice and hard work in the gym and also a better machine and most importantly the sponsorship to be successful.”
The former Queen’s College Student who rides under the #93 gang banner, is also the current country champion and plans to tour to the other three territories, Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago when the championships gets underway in March at the Wallerfield International Raceway in the twin island republic.
Aside from Caribbean glory, the rider’s whose machine of choice is a Kawasaki ZX6R is seeking to earn a spot on one of AT1pro teams in Australia. (Akeem Greene)
