Khouri reign as GKF president continues

Senior instructor Sensei Amir Khouri has returned as President of the Guyana Karate Federation (GKF) following their Biennial General Meeting (BGM) held last Sunday at Y.M.C.A Dojo, Thomas Lands.
Khouri, one of Guyana’s most senior karate instructors will continue as head of the Federation as elected by his peers for the next two-year term. National senior Karateka Roger Peroune will serve as Khouri’s first Vice-President with Keith Beaton being elected as VP number two.

Bernice Irving will serve as the GKF’s Secretary while the Treasurer is William Grant and Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, Bhagwandin Persaud. Ivor O’Brian, Honorable Member of the Guyana Olympic Association (GOA) presided as Returning Officer for the BGM
The Meeting was attended by members of the various affiliated Associations including; Association do Shotokan Karate – Guyana (Y.M.C.A. Dojo), Shotokan Karate-Do of Guyana (Shokoguy) (National Park Dojo), Berbice Shotokan Karate Dojo, National Martial Arts Association, National Shito-Ryu Karate Association and Ryu Karate Club.
