competition commenced on Saturday at the Parade ground with eight exciting matches.
At the end of the day’s proceedings, Kingston and Tiger Bay were the most impressive teams playing unbeaten in their two matches but it was eye-catching talent of Tiger Bay’s Ron Abrams who netted five, three of which were a hat-trick in one match.
In the first match of the day, Fruta Conquerors defeated Golden Grove 4-1; Match two saw Eastveldt (A) losing to Tiger Bay 2-0.
Santos FC then eased pass Golden Stars 2-0, which was followed by Kingston edging Eastveldt (B) 2-1; Eastveldt rebounded from their opening loss to relegate Golden grove to their second loss by winning 3-1.
The next match saw the largest margin for victory, as Tiger Bay hammered Fruta Conquoers 5-0; Eastvedlt and Golden Stars played to 1-1 stalemate, which was followed by Kingston netting one goal to win against Santos FC.
The organisers of the tournament expressed gratitude for the support of Troy Mendonca of the Petra Organisation and GECOM.
