…Port Mourant, RHT Farfan and Mendes Ltd reach Quarterfinals
Despite the ongoing rainy season, the proactive Berbice Cricket Board (BCB) has taken the gamble and started preparation for the Guyana Cricket Board’s 2022 Under-15 Inter-County tournament.

The BCB has started its 2022 season by hosting the Tenelec Under-15 tournament for 16 teams. Several matches, especially in the Lower and Upper Corentyne areas, have been played, while those in the West Berbice and New Amsterdam areas have been affected by the weather.
The Rose Hall Town Farfan and Mendes Under-15 Team joined Port Mourant in advancing to the Quarterfinals after defeating arch-rivals Albion in a must-win match for both teams. Port Mourant had earlier defeated both of them.
In the match in NA/Canje zone, Tucber Park beat Guymine by three wickets at Lochaber. Tucber Park’s captain Gavin Kisten had a solid all-round performance with 4-14 and a match winning 41 to help his team chase down 116, ending on 116-7 in 23.1 overs. Tucber Park had earlier bowled out Guymine for 115 in 19 overs.

Additionally, there were several promising contributions, with Yoganand Mohan and Ravin Boodwah of Port Mourant, Roshawn Crandon of RHTY&SC and Farham Ballie of Albion performing well with the ball. The promising Razam Koobeer of RHTY&SC scored a half century, while Devin Lalbeharry, Vishal Williams and Navin Boodwah impressed with the bat.

1.Port Mourant defeated Albion by two wickets at Albion
Scores- Albion 74 all out in 48 overs. Farhan Ballee: 12, Devin Lalbeharry: 20. Bowling for Port Mourant, Shamul Daniels took 2 for 15, Navind Boodwah 2 for 17, Yoganand Mohan 2 for 15, and Vishal Williams 2 for 15. Port Mourant in reply: 75 for 8 from 48.1 overs, with Shamul Daniels scoring 20. Bowling for Albion, Farhan Ballee took 3 for 9, Devin Lalbeharry 2 for 12, and T Omnauth 2 for 7.
2.Port Mourant defeated Upper Corentyne by ten wickets at No72 Cut and Load Ground.
