knock out pool competition heads to GMR&SC

Former National U-17 Cricketer Ricardo Devers has organized a two best in three knock-out 8-ball straight Pool competition at Guyana Motor Racing & Sports Club (GMRSC) on Albert Street, Thomas Lands beginning at 14:00h on Sunday January 7.
The competition is open to anyone and especially female Pool players are encouraged to enter.

The top prize of $100,000 is sponsored by Nauth Motor Spares while the champion will also walk away with the Trophy Stall trophy.
The second prize which is sponsored by V-Net Communications is a day trip for two on the Essequibo River with stops at Sloth Island, Fort Island, Bartica, Baracara Falls and Saxcacalli Beach complete with meals and sloth spotting. The losing finalist will also walk away with the V-Net trophy.
The Third prize is a trophy and bottle of Absolute vodka from Nicky’s Natural Fruit Juice while one lucky spectator will win a Pool cue and case just by buying a Raffle ticket sponsored by West Indian Sports Complex
Some of the nation’s top pools players have already confirmed participation and registration, which cost $5,000, can be done by calling telephone number 670-5977 or can be done from 13:30h at the venue.
Food and beverages will be on sale at the venue.
