The children engaged in fun activities which introduced them to “the beautiful game”, as part of a partnership between the GFF and the Guyana Beverages Company Inc. to provide constructive activities for children in vulnerable communities.
Martin King, a participant, said he “had fun and learned how to shoot penalty and defend”; while another participant, Nicolas Nuella, said he made friends at the session.
The next schedule for the Grassroots Outreach is St. Phillip’s Green on May 19. This session will cater for the children in Leopold Street and its surrounding areas.
