Kuru Kururu driver charged for causing death by dangerous driving

A 25-year-old Kuru Kururu, Linden-Soesdyke Highway resident was on Thursday slapped with a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
Delwyn Moore appeared before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrates’ Court and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecution is contending that on July 19, 2020, at Kuru Kururu, Linden-Soesdyke Highway, he drove motor car PPP 8909 in a manner dangerous to the public, thereby causing the death of Glemina Adrian.
Reports are that Moore was proceeding south along the Kuru Kururu, Linden-Soesdyke Highway, while Adrian was walking on the northern side of the road when Moore, reportedly at a fast rate of speed, overtook another car and ended up in the path of Adrian, pitching her some away.
She was picked up by public-spirited citizens and rushed to the Diamond Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Magistrate Latchman released Moore on $100,000 bail and the case will continue on August 8, 2020. (G1)
