Kuru Kururu man found dead in home

A Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke-Linden Highway man was found dead by his neighbour after he was not seen for several days. Dead is John Lancelot Richards, 59, who was unemployed, of Monument Hill Squatting Area, Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke-Linden Highway.
It is suspected that Richards might have died between Tuesday and Wednesday last but his body was found a few days later.
According to Police reports, the deceased lived alone in a flat zinc shack in the area. However, his body was found by a neighbour who was passing his home and observed that he was lying face down on the ground.
At the time, he was clad in a red jersey and a pair of black pants. He was seen lying next to a wooden bed frame. An alarm was raised, and his body was examined but no marks of violence seen.
Richard’s body was taken to Lyken’s Funeral Parlour awaiting a post-mortem.
About a month ago, the body of a 54-year-old man was discovered in a partially decomposed state at his Grove, East Bank Demerara (EBD) home.
Harry Samuel of Lot 446 Back Street, Grove, was found on his bed in the front room of the two-storey wooden and concrete home.
It was reported that the man was found by his neighbour, who in turn raised an alarm and alerted the Police. He too lived alone.
