The Police are on the hunt for two males and a white Toyota Axio motor car following the execution of a young man on Friday evening along James Street, Albouystown Georgetown.
The dead man has been identified as 28-year-old Deon Charles of Middle Road, La Penitence, Georgetown.
Preliminary investigations revealed that on the day in question about 23:50h, the now dead man was standing on James Street when a white Toyota Axio drove up and stopped in front of him.
At that time, two males exited the back seat of the car and approached Charles, soon after which a loud explosion suspected to be a gunshot was heard. Charles reportedly fell to the ground and the two men immediately re-entered the car, which sped off the scene.
Charles was picked up by public-spirited citizens and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police later confirmed that a gunshot wound was seen on the left side of the deceased man’s head.
The matter remains under investigation.
