Labourer charged for assaulting woman

A labourer attached to Alabama Trading was slapped with an unlawful assault charge when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.
Thirty-three-year-old Terrence Thomas denied that he assaulted Mayleen John on July 7, 2018 at Croal Street, Georgetown.
The defendant and Virtual Complainant were reportedly involved in a row when a scuffle ensued during which Thomas struck John.
The Lot 70 Norton Street, Georgetown man was arrested when John reported the matter. The defendant was, however, granted $10,000 bail by Magistrate Fabayo Azore and was scheduled to return to court on July 20, 2018.
