Labourer charged for killing biker

A labourer, who allegedly confessed to killing Patrick Matthew Fraser, also known as “White boy”, who was a biker, was on Tuesday slapped with the capital offence of murder and appeared at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts.

Kevin Rose of Lot 1058 Diamond Housing Scheme, East Bank Demerara, stood before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
The charge stated that on May 9, 2019, at Norton Street, Bagotstown, EBD, while in the company of others, he murdered Fraser during an attempted robbery.
The 22-year-old man was represented by Attorney-at-Law Everton Singh.

In court on Tuesday, Police Prosecutor Nevin Jeffers said that the prosecution’s file is incomplete, adding that he is waiting for the ballistic results and post-mortem report. Rose was remanded to prison and the case will continue on June 4, 2019.
Patrick Fraser was shot twice in the yard of a burnt house in Bagotstown, EBD, on May 9. He was picked up and rushed to the Diamond Diagnostic Centre, where he succumbed while receiving medical attention. Reports are Rose reportedly confessed to killing the teen. He allegedly told Police that he reportedly wanted a gun the biker had in his possession.
