Satrajeet Ramdahar, a 48-year-old labourer of Long Creek, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, was arrested on Friday last for the offence of obtaining credit by false pretence.
This accused appeared at the Diamond/Golden Grove Magistrates’ Courts on Monday where he pleaded not guilty to the charge read to him by Senior Magistrate Sunil Scarce.
The charge was laid contrary to Section 194 of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
The crime was allegedly committed on August 15, at Diamond, East Bank Demerara (EBD). Ramdahar was placed on $75,000 bail. The matter was adjourned to February 2, 2024.
