Labourer nabbed with over 1kg ganja

A 50-year-old labourer of E Field Sophia, Greater Georgetown, was nabbed on Friday evening at Pamela Landing, Potaro River with 1.119 kg of ganja in a haversack.
Reports are Police ranks acting on information went to a popular shop at Pamela Landing and conducted a search during which two parcels of the cannabis were found stashed in a haversack. After the discovery was made, the labourer admitted to ownership of the substance thus resulting in his arrest. He was reportedly left manage the shop at the time the search was conducted.
He was subsequently charged and is expected to make his appearance at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts on January 2, 2018.
