Twenty-one-year-old Simon Haywood of Lot 4 Drysdale and Ketley Streets, Charlestown Georgetown was on Friday refused bail when he appeared before Georgetown Magistrate Fabayo Azore to answer a robbery-under-arms charge.
Unrepresented by legal counsel, Haywood denied the allegation that, on July 16, 2018, he robbed Ayude Kadir of one mobile phone and one gold chain.
He told the court he was not around when the robbery occurred, and learned of it only when he had gone home later that day.
He was remanded to prison until August 17, 2018.
