Labourer to spend Christmas in jail for breaking & entering
A 27-year-old laborer of Maria’s Lodge, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam) will be spending Christmas in jail after he was sentenced to 16 months in prison on Monday.
Keon Davis pleaded guilty to a charge of break and enter and larceny. He admitted that on November 28 he broke into the E-Networks Store located on the Suddie Public Road, Essequibo Coast and was jailed by Magistrate Tamieka Clarke at the Charity Magistrate’s Court.
The charge was laid under Section 229(a) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01.
