Lake Mainstay’s 8th annual Car & Bike Show and After Party set for April 15

All roads will lead to Lake Mainstay resort, Mainstay/Whyaka Village, Essequibo, for its 8th annual Car and Bike Show and After Party on April 15.
The event, which has been quite a success every year, is expected to be bigger and better with a number of categories added. This year, vehicles will compete in 18 categories in five groups.
In the Overall group, judging will be done for the best car, best SUV/bus, best bike (small) and best superbike.
In the Artwork group, prizes will be given for the best car, bus/SUV and best bike, while in the Auto Internal group, prizes will be awarded for the best sound car, best sound SUV/bus, loudest sound car and loudest sound SUV/bus.
There will also be the Audio External group which will determine the best and loudest sound among the cars, SUVs and buses. The final group will be the Extreme Sound and will determine best sound, loudest sound and classis.
However after the judging, there will be the after party with Pream’s Mega Sounds. Other attractions include food courts and beverage bars along with a children’s fun park.
Registration fees for each category will cost $4000 and can be uplifted at Lake Mainstay Resort Offices – Georgetown and Essequibo; Gutty’s Variety Stall – Charity; G&P Jaigobin and Sons Supermarket – Henrietta; Cellular Plus Store – Anna Regina; Anil Cellphone Store – Anna Regina Market; Derick Photocopy Shop – Anna Regina Post Office and Universal Pharmacy – Suddie. Registration closes on April 12. Over $1 million in cash prizes and trophies will be up for grabs.
Admission to the event cost $1000 and $500 for children under 10 years old. Gates open at 16:00h but the action starts at 18:00h. The event is sponsored by Castrol Oil, Banks Beer and Stag Beer.
