Lance Corporal arrested with large quantity of cannabis
A Lance Corporal, along with another person, has admitted to being the owner of a large quantity of cannabis found in a vehicle in which they were travelling.

The 24-year-old Joint Services rank and the 27-year-old driver of the vehicle, both of Stanleytown, Berbice, were stopped by a rank on patrol duty after they were caught overtaking on the Strathspey Public Road, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
They were both escorted to the Vigilance Police Station where the hire car in which they were travelling was searched.
The search unearthed three parcels of compressed cannabis hidden inside a gas stove that was in the trunk of the black Fielder-Wagon.
The two men are currently in Police custody and are expected to appear in court shortly.
