Forty-four-year-old Don Wright, also called “Danny,” a businessman from Tabatinga, Lethem, Central Rupununi, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo) was on Friday sentenced to two years for stealing a horse.
Wright appeared before Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court, where the charge was read to him. He pleaded guilty to the offence after the Administration of Justice Act (AJA) was applied.
As such, he was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment, with one year as a suspended sentence.
