Police ranks in Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo) are currently on the hunt for a known male after a quantity of ganja was found in his home on Friday.
The incident occurred at Tabatinga, Lethem, Central Rupununi area.
Based on reports received, Police acting on information went to the suspect’s home to conduct a search but upon their arrival, no one was in the house.
As such, a search was conducted during which two transparent plastic bags and one black plastic bag, all containing cannabis, were found on a bed.
The ranks took possession of the items and upon weighing same, it amounted to 364.71 grams.

Checks were made for the suspect but he was not found. Investigations are in progress, as the hunt for the suspect continues.
