LGC Survival Phagwah Golf tourney to tee off at 11:00 hrs today
Yet again, the Lusignan Golf Club will come alive as the annual Survival Phagwah Golf Tournament is hosted today.
The tournament will tee off at 11:00 hrs, and the format of play will be Stroke Play among individuals across 18 holes. Prizes will be up for grabs for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th place finishers, and the sponsorship value is a total of $150,000.
The Survival Phagwah Golf Tournament is in its third edition. Parsuram Arjune, sponsor of the tournament, has said, “The Survival Group of (Companies) is here to stay. This is the third year of the tournament, but we will continue. We are very happy to partner with the Lusignan Golf Club, and we look forward to doing so in the years to come. Golf is a community sport that unites communities and individuals, so please come out and support. It is a Phagwah tournament, but it is not only for Hindus, so let’s come out and have fun.”

Pandit Ravi also thanked Parsuram Arjune for the continued support of his business for golf in Guyana. He reminded the public that the LGC is compliant with regulations of the National COVID-19 Task Force.
LGC Secretary Chet Bowling has said the Survival Group of Companies is a household name that is fulfilling its corporate social responsibility of giving back to school children and the young ones in golf, and to the sport of golf as a whole, since golf is a family sport.
