Lifeless bodies of man, woman found

The lifeless body of a man was found along the Meten-Meer-Zorg Public Road on the West Coast of Demerara (WCD) on Wednesday.
Reports are the man is suspected to have been in his 60s.
Guyana Times understands that the Police were contacted and informed that the lifeless body of a man was seen lying on the roadway.
As such, Police went to the scene where they found the man lying face down. He was taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police have since confirmed that no marks of violence were seen on the body. An investigation continues.
Also on Wednesday, the body of a female was found behind the Marriott Hotel, which is located at Kingston Georgetown.
Though an official report has not yet been released by the Guyana Police Force, Guyana Times was informed that the woman was found face down on the seawall.
The Police were subsequently informed, and an investigation was immediately launched.
