Liliendaal Wolves lead the pack

GFA Division One League…

Liliendaal Wolves are the front-runners in the Georgetown Football Association’s (GFA) Division One League after defeating Order and Discipline 3-1 on Sunday at the Georgetown Football Club (GFC) ground, Bourda.
Jerris Moses gave the Wolves the lead in the sixth minute, but the Order and Discipline equalised the scores with a Collin Birchman’s goal in the 21st minute to end the first half 1-1.
Just two minutes into the second half, Travis Garraway’s strike put the Wolves back in the lead and put the pressure back on Order and Discipline.
Akeem Saul hammered the final nail in the coffin when he scored in the 51st minute and gave the Wolves their third win from four matches, while Order and Discipline lost their first match and have dropped to second place.
In the other match, Houston Stars rocketed to their first win by defeating Black Water FC 4-0.
Houston Stars goals came off the feet of Joel Junior (17th) , Eon Sullivan (40th) , Joey Garrett (51st) and Keron Edwards (58th).
The Stars have leaped into fifth place, while Black Water remain in the cellar position.
Eastveldt got their first win when they edged Black Pearl 1-0 due an Idany Jobe goal in the 48th minute.
The League will continue on May 1, where another triple-header will be played at the same venue.
