The third annual Limacol Knockout Football Tournament will continue this evening at the Ministry of Education Ground on Carifesta Avenue, where the organisers, Petra, have two scintillating matchups scheduled.
On the cards for today, Group C’s Santos will collide with Pouderoyen; and later on, Group ‘A’ action will see Pele FC competing with Police.
Santos, who began their 2018 outing with a draw, will face-off against the confident Pouderoyen, who are coming off of a win against Beacon. Esan Nelson and Quessey Alleyne are expected to repeat their marvellous scoring and attacking plays in order to overcome the formidable Santos side.
In the next matchup, at 20:00hrs, a fairly young Pele FC team will try to better their first game, when they settled for a draw after Mervyn Liverpool managed to net a

lone goal.
Despite this, the young team will look to work on their connecting, since opportunities seem to flow constantly for them. Police, on the other hand, have had a mix of fortunes in their first two games, losing to the less experienced Mahaica Determinators, then scoring a 1-nil win. They will, nevertheless, have much work to do to get around the quick feet of Pele.
The knockout tournament holds twelve teams in three groups, namely: Group A:- Police, Pele Football Club, Northern Rangers and Mahaica Determinators. Group B:- Camptown, Georgetown Football Club, Riddim Squad and Buxton Stars. Group C:- Santos, Pouderoyen, Grove Hi Tec and Beacons Football Club. These teams are competing to win the grand prize of $600,000.
