Linden duo to stand trial for simple larceny

Mtoto Razack, 38, of 14 Section ‘C’, Christianburg, Wismar and Sherwin Johnson, 31, of Lot 36 Stewart Path, Wismar, Linden appeared before Linden Magistrate Clive Nurse on Tuesday last jointly charged with the offence of simple larceny.
It is alleged that between Thursday, June 28, and Friday, June 29, at Christianburg, Linden, the two men stole ten sheets of zinc, three pinewood doors, and three pairs of louvre frames belonging to the Guyana National Industrial Corporation.
Razack was represented by Attorney René McDonald, while Johnson was represented by Attorney Yondessa Welcome.
Facts of the case indicated that Johnson was plying his trade as a transportation provider when he was hired to collect the items. The trial into the matter is set to commence on September 19.
