All roads will lead to the Linden-Mackenzie Bridge on Saturday evening for the second annual Bridge Light-up and Boat Parade. The event is organised by the Linden Youth Leaders and from reports coming out of the mining town, it will be a fun-filled event.
The second edition of the event is expected to be more spectacular than the first and will attract a huge crowd. Those who turn up to witness the event will be treated to live performances by reigning Chutney Monarch Brandon Harding.
In addition, the Redeemer Band and others will be performing. There will also be lots of activities for the children, but more excitingly, Santa and his helpers will be there to distribute gifts to children who are present. The action starts at 16:30h with nonstop entertainment throughout the evening.
The event is sponsored by Linden Chambers of Commerce, Guyana Airways, Banks DIH, the Communities Ministry, Linden Youth Leaders and Linden Youth Group.
Admission to the event is free.
