Linden pensioner found dead in apartment

The Police have launched an investigation into the death of 71-year-old Dennis Harold Dey of Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden, whose body was found on Thursday at his residence.
Based on reports received, the now dead man lived at the mentioned place in an apartment which is owned by Vanessa Phillips. It is alleged that he suffered from hypertension, prostate cancer, and was in the habit of smoking.
On Thursday, at about 11:30h, another tenant complained about the stench emanating from the apartment the deceased occupied, and later sent her 13-year-old son to make checks.
The lad found the man’s motionless body lying on the ground in his apartment, and the Police were summoned to the scene. The body was examined, but no marks of violence were found thereon.
The body was later taken to the Pensioners Funeral Home to await an autopsy.
