A fire of unknown origin has completely destroyed the home of 63-year-old Collins Joseph, a farmer of One Mile Extension, Wismar, Linden, on Wednesday evening.

Police have said Joseph reported that, at about 16:30h, he had just finished cooking, and he secured his premises using all available safety measures and went to his daughter’s home at Blueberry Hill, Wismar Linden. While there, he received a telephone call from his neighbour, informing him that his house was on fire.
Upon arriving at the scene, he saw his house completely engulfed in flames. The Linden Fire Service was summoned, and the firemen were able to extinguish the fire. An investigation has been launched into the circumstances that caused the fire.
