Lindener fined $27,500 for multiple traffic violations

A Lindener, who was found guilty of three traffic offences by Magistrate Clivetraffic Nurse was on Wednesday fined a total of $27,500.

Twenty-nine-year-old Quincy Gilkes, a mechanic, appeared at the Linden Magistrate’s Court where the guilty verdict was handed down. He was initially charged with breach of a one way, failure to provide a driver’s licence and failure to wear a safety belt. Gilkes, who had initially pleaded not guilty to the charges, apologised to the acourt for his actions. Failure to pay the fine will result in an alternative sentence of two weeks imprisonment.
