Jermaine King, also called “Kingman”, of Lot 26 First Alley, Wismar, Linden, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice) has been sentenced to one year in prison by Magistrate Clive Nurse for the offence of break and entry and larceny.
King admitted that on May 25, 2018, at West Watooka hill top, Wismar, he broke and entered the house of Sulika King and stole $30,000.
Magistrate Nurse, in handing down the sentence, informed King that he took into consideration the seriousness and prevalence of the offence in the community, as he expressed hope that the one-year sentence will serve as a deterrent to others.
